Beth first moved to the Baltimore area in 2000 to attend Towson University. She immediately fell in love with Charm City, its diverse neighborhoods, restaurants, shops, parks, attractions and waterfront. Driven by her desire to play a more active role in her chosen home, Beth became the Marketing Manager at Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore. With nine years experience in sales, marketing, event planning and promotions with companies like Whole Foods, Infinity Broadcasting (now CBS radio) and Moorea Marketing (now Trigger Agency) Beth brings much needed marketing and promotions experience to our family. In addition to her day job, Beth serves on the Advisory Board of the Downtown Baltimore Family Alliance, where she promotes the benefits of urban family life in the city she adores. For the past eight years, Laura has focused her educational and professional efforts toward bettering the lives of children. After graduating from UC Santa Cruz with a BA in psychology, Laura became a foster parent at Casa De Esperanza, a non-profit foster agency in Houston, Texas that focuses on marginalized and HIV positive children. Through this experience she grew immensely and came to learn what it truly means to be a mother. In 2013, she began working with Wondersitter San Francisco, eventually working with over 30 families and receiving the coveted Wondersitter Rockstar status. Making the move to Portland with her partner was an easy decision and she immediately fell in love with the Rose City and all it has to offer. You can often find her at one of the many dog parks with her puppy, Clyde, or out deciding which donut shop to try. With her understanding of children, sensitivity to the needs of discerning parents, and passion for serving others, we are honored to welcome Laura as our Portland Wondersitter partner.
Stefanie moved to Fairfield County from San Francisco in the fall of 2014. She started her career with Federated and then joined Gap Inc, most recently as Director of Merchandising for BabyGap. Following the birth of her first child, Stefanie became an active volunteer with several prominent San Francisco based not for profit organizations. In 2007 she joined the Golden Gate Mother’s Group (GGMG), serving on the community support committee and then on the Board until 2011. In addition to GGMG, Stefanie worked with the Friends of the San Francisco Library assisting with fundraising and literacy awareness programs. With all of these activities, Stefanie became a regular client of Wondersitter. Upon moving to Connecticut, Stefanie found it challenging to find reliable sitters with her busy unpredictable schedule. Knowing the demands of busy parents she wanted to bring the promise of Wonderful Sitters, Wonderful Service to Fairfield County. She graduated with honors from UC Berkeley and holds an MBA from Thunderbird. She lives in Westport, with her husband and two children.
Alison first lived in Denver 30 years ago and seized the opportunity to return to her beloved Mile High City after raising her children back East. With twenty plus years in communications consulting for international companies addressing environmental issues, Alison knows firsthand the challenges of busy families securing wonderful childcare providers. Her two children are in college now and the family loves to gather at their ski house in Breckenridge. Never far from greenspace, Alison adores living on Cheesman Park in Denver. She is often spotted riding a tandem bike on the Cherry Creek trail with her husband. We completely understand what drew Alison back to Colorado and know that ever-growing Denver will benefit from Wondersitter and Alison’s leadership.
